VONA Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2022 in Canada by three Ukrainian women, united by a shared vision — to support newcomers on their journey to rebuild their lives.
Our mission is to create, support, and promote programs that directly improve the health, well-being, and future of newcomers in Canada. We focus on providing access to psychological recovery, legal guidance, educational opportunities, and resources that empower individuals, especially women, to lead with confidence and stability.
VONA envisions a future where every newcomer receives the support they need at the right time, enabling them to unlock their full potential, achieve financial independence, and live a healthy, purpose-driven life.
Our Story
VONA Foundation was born out of lived experience, courage, and the desire to uplift others.
In 2022, three Ukrainian women—each on her own path of migration, adaptation, and growth—came together in Canada with one shared purpose: to help others who were just beginning their journey.
They understood, first-hand, the emotional and practical challenges of starting over in a new country, and knew that support must go beyond basic settlement. VONA was founded to provide not only services, but hope, connection, and empowerment.
From small group meetings to community-wide events, from emotional support programs to entrepreneurship workshops — VONA has grown into a safe space where women lead, learn, and lift each other.
Our story continues with every woman we support, every event we host, and every life we help transform.
